Australia’s women defeated Haiti 7–1 in a friendly in France, with Leticia McKenna scoring twice on her first start. The young midfielder struck after eighty seconds and added another goal just before half-time.

Daniela Galic scored on debut, while Caitlin Foord, Clare Wheeler and Holly McNamara also contributed. Haiti remained an organised and physical opponent during the first half, before Australia’s younger players helped drive a five-goal second-half surge.

The match was the final October friendly for both teams. It offered the Matildas a chance to test emerging players alongside experienced teammates, and the range of contributors mattered as much as the score: several members of the next generation converted their opportunities into tangible attacking returns.
