Australia beat Bangladesh by eight wickets at Allan Border Field to complete a three-match one-day international sweep. Megan Schutt’s bowling restricted the visitors to 172, leaving the home side a manageable target.
Australia lost Georgia Voll and Beth Mooney early, but Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland put on an unbeaten 137 for the third wicket. Perry finished on 65 and Sutherland on 74 as the chase ended inside 23 overs.
Schutt took four wickets for sixteen runs across ten consecutive overs and received both match and series honours. Mooney’s hundredth ODI also featured a wicket for Bangladesh debutant Disha Biswas, though the early breakthrough did not prevent Australia taking control.
